Vyvial & Co. is based in Japan. Active projects span hospitality, residential, and F&B work across Japan — including Tokyo, Niseko, Hakuba, and Nozawa Onsen — as well as international work across Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom.

Vyvial & Co. does not follow a singular design style. Instead, every project is shaped by its own context, programme, and aspirations. The studio's work is defined by a careful focus on craftsmanship, materiality, and detail, bringing together tactile, handmade qualities with contemporary, cross-cultural influences.

Who leads Vyvial & Co.?

Valerie Vyvial is the Founder and Design Director of Vyvial & Co. She studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, and obtained her European architecture licence at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, before founding the studio in Japan.

What types of projects does Vyvial & Co. take on?

The studio's work ranges from boutique hotels and restaurants to retail spaces and private residences, including new-build design, renovation, and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.

Can Vyvial & Co. manage a project from concept through construction?

Yes. Vyvial & Co. offers end-to-end project management and turnkey delivery — design, coordination, procurement, and construction — as well as support for clients working alongside an existing team.

Yes. Alongside its Japan-based projects, Vyvial & Co. has worked on hospitality and F&B projects internationally, including in Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom.
