Vyvial Suzuki Studio is a bilingual design studio and real estate specialist centered around bridging its previous experience of working in Japan and overseas to bring a unique perspective that embodies both Eastern and Western philosophies.

Valerie Vyvial

Born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, to a Japanese-Chinese mother and a German-Czech father, Valerie moved to London to study architecture at University College London, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree.

After graduating, she relocated to Copenhagen to obtain a European architecture license from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Her early professional experience includes work at Grimshaw Architects in London on a range of international projects. Valerie later returned to Japan to continue her practice in a context closely connected to her heritage.

Her work is grounded in a multidisciplinary approach, with a strong emphasis on materiality, craft, and detail. An international upbringing and cross-cultural education inform a design sensibility that moves fluidly between Eastern and Western perspectives.
